Latvian Culture Museum "Dauderi" [pic][dau.jpg]A collection bequeathed to Latvia by G. Gaudins, a Latvian residing in Germany, form the basis of the collection of the Latvian Culture Museum "Dauderi". It contains old documents, photos, medals, coins, ethnographic exhibits and other interesting items. "Dauderi" focuses on the 1920s and 1930s - the years of Latvia's first independence - and Latvian cultural activities in exile.
The museum is located in one of the most beautiful 19th century mansions in Riga, once the summer residence of the President of the Republic of Latvia, KArlis Ulmanis. "Dauderi" is surrounded by a park with sculptures and artifical ruins.
